Everyone you love. All in one place.
Documentary wedding films shot on digital, a vintage Hi8 camcorder, and real Super 8. I hand the camcorder to your people, and I start giving the day back while everyone is still talking about it.
One wedding. A lot worth keeping.
I don’t enjoy disappearing with your wedding for months while I work on your film. I start giving pieces of it back while I’m still discovering them myself.
I’m there, you’re there
I film documentary-style and step in only when it helps. I hand the camcorder to your people.
Home Movies
Short, playful clips from inside the celebration, sent back while everyone is still texting about it.

Coming soon. All the time in the world for the people, the voices, and the chaos.

Nobody knows your people better than your people do.
I shoot on a mid-90s camcorder at times during the day, and every so often I hand it to your friends and family. They get places I never could: the getting-ready jokes, the car rides, the conversations nobody planned.
There's a certain kind of energy the camcorder captures that a traditional camera doesn't. It's candid, imperfect, personal, and sometimes a little chaotic. Pretty much like life actually is.
Friends interview each other. Someone disappears with it. Things get said. Chaos ensues. That’s the point.
Nobody has a job. You get everything exactly as it was recorded, plus the Hi8 tape to keep.
Technically, this story starts before I was born.
When I was seven, my mom showed me a Super 8 film she’d made with her brother in 1970. Two kids telling a story in a world that had disappeared long before I saw it. I was hooked.
As a teenager I carried a Hi8 camcorder everywhere. Years later, that footage means more to me than I expected: not because of what we made, but because of the people in it.
I spent five years in commercial production, running the studio floor of a Los Angeles production company, before I went back to making something more personal.

Life goes fast.
A wedding is one of the rare days when everyone you love is in one place. You’ll remember the vows and the speech that caught you off guard. What gets harder to hold onto is the way your cousin danced, the sound of your grandmother’s laugh, the voices of the people you love. That’s what I film.
I seriously can't even put into words how happy having you with us on our wedding day made me feel!! I know we have created a life long friendship with you, you've become more than our wedding videographer and as Cullen said the night of our rehearsal "I'm glad you're family!" Thank you for having such a love for what you do and sharing that with others! So glad I found you and that you accepted my ask! We love you!
I've loved following along as you've posted little snippets so soon post-wedding. Also really admire your artistry and drive to produce the finalized films so quickly. I'm sure it means the world to your clients...giving them the confidence and satisfaction immediately. Seriously wish I found you sooner for my own wedding! Your craft is incredible! Look forward to seeing more.
